Programme Development

Full day zoom meeting (workshop) to develop the programme

I propose that we open our meetings with a karakia, and suggest that we say this one together:

Tukua te wairua kia rere ki ngā taumata

Hai ārahi i ā tātou mahi

Ma tā tātou whai i ngā tikanga a rātou mā

Kia mau kia ita

Kia kore ai e ngaro

Kia pupuri

Kia whakamaua

Kia tina! TINA! Hui e! TĀIKI E!

Allow one's spirit to exercise its potential

To guide us in our work as well as in our pursuit of our ancestral traditions

Take hold and  preserve it

Ensure it is never lost

Hold fast

Secure it

Draw together!  Affirm!

(((Then we can add that to the agenda to talk about tomorrow, along with the logos that I put on the powerpoint:

And this one here, remembering the story of Hape and his journey from Hawaiki on the back on Kaiwhare the Taniwha in the form of a great stingray. )))

FOUNDATION SKILLS ONE-DAY MEETING THURSDAY 14 OCTOBER 2021

9.00-9.10am – Karakia and introductions

9.10-10.30am – Together work through and familiarise ourselves with the template that our Programme Approvals and Accreditation adviser has made available for us. Discuss and agree on areas of responsibility in the project plan that she has provided.

11.00-12.30 – Discuss areas of commitment to the proposed subject association; decide on the roles and people; decide on a name; put together a letter to submit with the minutes of the meeting where we decided to become a subject association ie 14 October.

1.00-2.30 – Look at the unit standards and ‘unpack’ them together. Consider how they can be combined for a three course and a four course option.

3.00-4.30 – Having considered the three and four course options, discuss how these could look across a year and draft some module titles.
